  • Cream (heavy or sour cream)

  • Butter (or oil)

  • Water or broth

  • Salt and ground pepper

How to prepare (Instructions):
  1. Pre‑cook the mushrooms
    Clean and pre‑boil honey mushrooms for 20–30 minutes. Drain well and cut into smaller pieces.

  2. Sauté bacon and onion
    In a pan, heat butter or a little oil over medium heat. Add diced bacon (if using) and chopped onion. Sauté until lightly golden.

  3. Cook mushrooms
    Add the pre‑cooked mushrooms to the pan. Pour in a splash of water or broth, cover, and simmer until most of the liquid evaporates.

  4. Add vegetables and spices
    Stir in chopped bell pepper (if using), paprika, and passata. Continue cooking until peppers soften and the flavors combine.

  5. Finish with cream
    Pour in cream and stir well. Cover and let thicken for about 8 minutes. Season with salt and ground pepper to taste.
